Press Release: Rainbow Street Welcomes Three New Board Members

November 20, 2018

Rainbow Street Welcomes Rami Hosein, Sophia Kass, and Chris Warfield to Board of Directors

Berkeley, CA – Rainbow Street is pleased to announce the successful recruitment of three new members to the Board of Directors: Rami Hosein, Sophia Kass, and Chris Warfield.

The growth of Rainbow Street’s Board of Directors coincides with the significant scaling of Rainbow Street’s LGBT shelter programming in the Middle East and North Africa and a phase of strategic planning for the organization as a whole.

“Over half of the shelter nights Rainbow Street has provided in 2018 have gone to transgender and gender-nonconforming clients. So it’s very important for us to have the trans experience represented at the highest level of Rainbow Street’s leadership. That’s why today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, I’m especially humbled and honored to welcome two openly transgender community activists to our Board.” says Clara Hill, Board Chair. “Every board member will play a key role in shaping the long-term strategy and impact of the organization.”
